A Still Small Voice On Mount Horeb, 2026
House paint, leather paint, wine, oil, pastel, pencil, paste on canvas applied to wood
Framed in white oak
76” x 48”
Elijah retreats into a cave at Horeb exhausted and despairing. Wind, earthquake, and fire pass before him, but the divine presence arrives in a still, small voice. The painting considers silence as a condition of receptivity—a quieter register in which the Father’s encouragement and instruction can be heard again.
